Its the Bern Necessities

My friend and I went to Bern, Switzerland (pronounced Bear-en) on Saturday for a day trip. I was sorta reluctant to go because I heard that it may not be as much fun as people would expect it to be. But, Bern proved to be the exact opposite. I was really glad I made it out there. Bern is the capital of Switzerland and its mascot is a Bear. We got to see the Bear, which is a 28 year old Brown Bear. Additionally, my friend and I visited The Bern Cathedral, crossed over both bridges, visited Einstein's house (rip off, do not go!) and then played a large game of Chess in the city center next to the ice rink. It was a cold and blustery day, but a great deal of fun. We got to take a double decker train from Bern to Zurich (made the day even better :D) and made it back to the Villa Maderni at 0030. Very enjoyable day
