Barcelona

Well, I made it to Barcelona safe and sound which is very reassuring hahaha. The first thing I noticed abotu Barca (Barcelona for short) was how flipping warm and amazing the weather and temperatures were. Leaving the cold doldrums of Italy and Switzerland was amazing! I quickly changed into some shorts and a polo and walked around. It was great to not have to be so bundled up all the time. I toured the city and saw the Olympic Park; the Pueblo Espanyol, which was an architecture model of all the different kinds of Spanish towns and cities; the Parc Guells, with spectacular views of the city and Mediterranean; and of course the warm, sandy beaches. I suprised my friends by meeting up with them at the hostel before we went exploring. Since they did not have internet, they had no clue of my experiences of the previous night. But, it was all fun because it was an interesting way to make memories. I think Barcelona was my favorite trip so far because of the weather and just all the difference settings in the city. It was just a fantastic trip and I am glad I did not give up on it this weekend after my inital flight was cancelled. I highly recommend going to Barcelona if you can make it!
