Checkpoint Charlie (left) and Berlin Wall (right)
Jews of Europe to the right.
Sorry I have not updated the blog in forever. I do go to school over here as well, its not just drinking wine all day like some people believe...Aunt Dee :) But, to finish up my Spring Break, I took a day trip to Berlin, Germany to see WWII sites and some of the Berlin Wall. Plus, Im German and I felt it would be bad if I did not go see where my ancestors came from, or at least the country they came from. Anywho, I made it to the Reichstag, which is the German Capital Building, and went up to their glass dome to look at the views. Problem was it was rainy and cloudy so the views werent anything special. But, hey its for the experience. I made my way to the Memorial for the Murdered Jewish People in Europe, which is located a few feet from where Hitler's bunker once stood (it is now currently a parking lot). That was really tough to take in and the museum they had was even more difficult. Later in the day, I made it out to Checkpoint Charlie and to some of the Berlin Wall. Enjoy the pictures!!!
